Signal Assistant Mode Guide

AI-generated signals, your decision to execute

Signal Assistant is a semi-automatic mode. The strategy engine analyzes the market and generates trade signals with exact entry, SL, and TP levels. But instead of executing automatically, it shows you the signal and YOU decide whether to take it. You can also adjust the SL and TP before executing. Perfect for traders who want AI-generated signals but want the final say.

Step-by-Step Setup

Open MT5 and chart
  • Log in to your prop firm account
  • Open XAUUSD on M15 (or your preferred symbol/timeframe)
  • Enable AutoTrading (required for PropOS to place the trade when you confirm)

Attach PropOS
  • Drag PropOS_Challenge_Workstation.ex5 onto the chart

Configure Signal Assistant

In the PropOS inputs window, set these parameters:

Tip: Enable at least Visual Popup or Sound so you don't miss signals. If you're away from the screen, enable Push Notification to get alerts on your phone.

Verify it's running
  • Panels appear, header shows firm name + "Signal"
  • The Execution panel shows waiting animation with dots (...)
  • Strategy is analyzing the market

How Signal Assistant Works

Signal Generated

  • The strategy detects a valid setup (same engine as Auto EASY/PRO)
  • A blinking signal banner appears on the chart
  • Alert fires (popup, sound, email, push ▷ depending on your settings)
  • The Execution panel shows the signal details: direction (BUY), suggested SL price, suggested TP price

Review the Signal

  • Look at the suggested entry, SL, and TP levels on the chart
  • You can see where the S/R zone is and why the strategy triggered

Adjust SL/TP (Optional)

  • Use the +/- buttons on the Execution panel to adjust the SL price up or down
  • Use the +/- buttons to adjust the TP price up or down
  • The position size recalculates automatically based on your Risk % and the new SL distance
Tip: If you widen the SL, position size decreases (to maintain the same risk %). If you tighten it, position size increases. Risk per trade always stays at your configured %.

Execute or Skip

  • Click the BUY button to execute the trade with your adjusted SL/TP
  • Or simply wait ▷ the signal will expire when a new candle invalidates the setup
You are in full control. The strategy suggests, you decide. No trade is ever placed without your explicit click.

Trade Management

  • Once executed, PropOS manages the trade automatically
  • Trailing stop activates at 50% of TP (configurable in strategy params)
  • All compliance rules are enforced (drawdown, daily loss, news blocks)
Tip: Even though you execute manually, PropOS still enforces all prop firm rules. If you're close to daily drawdown, it will block the trade.

Strategy Parameters

Signal Assistant uses the same strategy parameters as Auto PRO. You can customize bias sensitivity, S/R precision, breakout settings, and trailing stops. See the Auto PRO Guide for detailed parameter explanations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Signal Assistant on any symbol?

The strategy is optimized for XAUUSD on M15, but you can attach it to any symbol. The S/R zones and bias detection will adapt, though results may vary on non-gold symbols.

What happens if I miss a signal?

Nothing. The signal expires and the strategy waits for the next valid setup. There's no penalty for skipping signals.

Can I adjust parameters like in Auto PRO?

Yes. Signal Assistant exposes all the same strategy parameters. The only difference is that trades are not executed automatically ▷ you must click to confirm each one.

How do I set up push notifications on my phone?

In MT5, go to Tools ▷ Options ▷ Notifications. Enter your MetaQuotes ID (found in the MT5 mobile app under Settings ▷ MetaQuotes ID). Then enable Push Notification in PropOS settings.
